Leisure Machines, 2013

This series of large-scale paintings explores the notion of 'leisure machines' - speedboats, helicopters, ski chairlifts... These machines glide vacantly through landscapes, wearing the surrounding environment as a decorative backdrop, or a stage set, flattening the land into moving image which validates their being.

This series was exhibited at the Goldsmiths College studio baths, in 2013 in the Goldsmiths MFA Show 2013.
